Federal Minister of Labor Hubertus Heil (SPD) described the basic income as the “biggest social reform in twenty years”. With the Hartz 4 successor, he promises recipients better opportunities for training and further education, higher additional income opportunities and increased standard rates.

Citizens’ allowance: Then the money will come in April
Anyone who applied for the citizens’ allowance in January or continued to receive it continuously received the standard rate at the end of last year. If you do not have your own account, you can also name a bank account of a friend or receive the money as a check. The Federal Employment Agency writes: “You can have your citizen’s income paid out in cash at any Deutsche Post or Deutsche Postbank payment office.” However, the costs incurred are deducted from the standard rate.
