French actress Justine Triet’s drama “Anatomy of a Case” won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The material surrounding a successful writer under suspicion of murder is there Sandra Hülser cast in the lead role.
The main character, also named Sandra, is accused of killing her husband in their house. But the case is not clear. The couple has a blind boy who was believed to be out of the house at the time of the incident. The film takes place partly in a courtroom. Sandra’s novels are used as evidence in court. War drama with actor Omar Sy
Paris (dpa) – The young Senegalese Thierno is forcibly recruited by the French army in 1917. He is supposed to fight on the battlefields of France during the First World War. In “My Son, the Soldier” director Mathieu Vadepied looks at the fate of thousands of Africans who were drafted into the war for the colonial power – and thus at a chapter in history that is often kept secret. The haunting war drama starring actor Omar Sy attracted over a million viewers in France.
