Bola.com, Kuala Lumpur – Asian Football Confederation (AFC) reorganized the Asian club tournament into three castes consisting of the Elite Asian Champions League, Asian Champions League 2, and the AFC Challenge League.
AFC will implement the Elite Asia Champions League, Asia Champions League 2, and AFC Challenge League starting from the 2024/2025 season.
Previously, the Asian club tournament consisted of only two championships which included the Asian Champions League and the AFC Cup.
AFC decided on the change at a virtual Executive Committee (Exco) meeting chaired by AFC President, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa.
