NEW ACCUSATIONS: Were politicians eavesdropped on during the election campaign?

That is why Democratic Bulgaria called on the authorities to start an urgent investigation into whether politicians are being eavesdropped on in Bulgaria.

“We rely on the caretaker government to take vigorous action to clarify the abuse of power and special intelligence, for which we have definite data,” said Atanas Atanasov of Democratic Bulgaria.

According to these data from “Democratic Bulgaria” – 32 politicians, including leaders of election lists, were wiretapped before the April 4 vote. And from the opposition parties that were in the 45th parliament – “There is such a people”, “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand up! Get out!”.

“The SRS has been applied to politicians and political parties who have been opponents of the outgoing government. They came from three units of the security services – one is “Internal Security” in the Ministry of Interior, the other is – the counter-terrorism unit in the CDCOC and the third is the counter-terrorist agency in SANS, “Atanasov added.

According to him – the most important questions are – which politicians were wiretapped and on what grounds this happened.

“This is an absolute abuse of power and these means. This thing needs to be checked very quickly. The data and information must be made public so that it becomes clear what methods the Borisov state used to strengthen its power, “Atanasov added.

In response to a question about the information provided today by the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Atanas Atanasov about wiretapping of politicians, Boyko Rashkov said that the signals for this should be referred to the National Bureau for Control of Special Intelligence Means and that he has no information about it. .
