Netflix will delete Frank Langell from the series, he told a joke about a colleague

Langella was to play the head of Roderick Usher’s family in a modern retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s horror story. The series is already half-recorded, so they will have to cut out Langella and rewind the missing scenes.

Frank Langella was supposed to tell a joke about an unnamed woman and thus commit sexual harassment.

Neither Netflix nor the actor’s spokesman have officially commented on it, the American server Variety said.

The Destruction of the House of Usher is an eight-part series starring Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill and Carla Gugin.

The most famous case of deleting an actor from the film took place in 2017. Kevin Spacey, who became famous for legendary films such as American Beauty, World According to Proto, LA Top Secret or Usual Suspects, then disappeared from the film All the Money in the World, which was completely done. He was replaced by Christopher Plummer.

Spacey’s career took a surprising turn when he was accused of sexual harassment by actor Anthony Rapp. It was an incident that allegedly happened 30 years ago.

Additional charges were added later. To date, nothing has been officially proven and Spacey has not been convicted of anything.
