Netflix Star Barton Cowperthwaite Diagnosed with Stage 2 Glioma: Brain Cancer Update

In a new video, shared on Instagram, Cowperthwaite says that in the last eight weeks he has had several seizures, the last of which ended up in the emergency room.

On Saturday, the 31-year-old took to Instagram to share the disappointing update with his fans.

“So …. Yesterday I was diagnosed with at least stage 2 glioma. That’s a pretty decent size for a brain tumor. The cells of the tumor originate in the brain, so it does not spread from cancer elsewhere in the body,” began Cowperthwaite, who has thus been diagnosed with brain cancer.

– Not sure if the body would tolerate it

Gliomas, or primary brain tumors, are tumors that arise in the brain or meninges. A common feature of gliomas is that they rarely spread to other organs. according to PEDIATRIC Gliomas are the most common group of brain tumors.

“The only treatment for something like this is brain surgery,” the actor explains further.

The 31-year-old seems positive, but adds that he now faces a terrifying everyday life, characterized by scans and checks.
