Netflix shows first trailer for prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin – Gaming – News

Netflix has shared the first full trailer for the upcoming miniseries The Witcher: Blood Origin. The prequel series is set 1,200 years before the adventures of Geralt of Rivia and will be available on the streaming service from December 25th.

The Witcher: Blood Origin is set during the “golden age” of the elves, in a time when an “indestructible empire” oppresses the inhabitants of the continent. In the series, seven different characters fight against this regime. The trailer also references a villain’s monster, which is supposedly too strong for the story’s heroes. It was previously announced that Blood Origin would provide an insight into the creation of the first Witcher, presumably to defeat this monster.

The main roles include Michelle Yeoh, Sophia Brown and Laurence O’Fuarain. Surprisingly, the trailer also features a character from Netflix’s first Witcher series, Jaskier, once again played by Joey Batey. It’s not clear if this is a preview of the “future” of the Witcher universe or if the troubadour, for example, is due to the characters shown in the trailer. monoliths can travel through time.

Netflix also confirms that The Witcher: Blood Origin will have fewer episodes than previously suggested. To the original ad spoke of six episodes. Also on IMDB six episodes are listed. Netflix at the end of teasers and the recent trailer, however, know that this is a four-part miniseries.
