Nestlé announces new price increases | Economy

Nestlé also implemented price increases last year. But Schneider expects purchasing costs to rise more this year than in 2021. “Turbulent times,” said the Nestlé chief executive of cost inflation. Higher costs may also weigh on profitability, despite price increases.

Last year Nestlé grew faster than expected. Organic growth was 7.5 percent, ahead of its own targets and analyst forecasts. Turnover amounted to 87.1 billion Swiss francs (83 billion euros). The sale of coffee, frozen food, pet food and vegetarian products performed particularly well. Net profit rose more than 38 percent to 16.9 billion francs.

For this year, the Swiss group expects an organic turnover growth of about 5 percent.
