Neno Warisman resigned from the management of the Ummah Party. What is the reason?
“That’s right, yes (resigned),” said Secretary of the Ummat Party Syuro Council, Ansufri Idrus Sambo or Ustadz Sambo, when contacted, Saturday (2/10/2021).
Ustaz Sambo said he received information about Neno Warisman’s resignation via WhatsApp messages and letters. Reason Neno Warisman resigning from the Ummah Party is to focus on taking care of his son who is in Turkey.
“Yesterday, yes, he sent a WA to us, sent a letter backwards because he wanted to focus take care son in Turkey. Because it can’t be active, so worried about not being able to be active, focus take care son, so he resigned,” he said.
Ustaz Sambo said that the Syuro Council would discuss Neno’s resignation at the Syuro meeting. However, Ustaz Sambo did not mention when the meeting was held.
“We do have a mechanism, if people resign like this, we can’t ban it. We only have a mechanism, we will hold a Shura Council meeting. The decision is in the Shura Council,” he said.
Sambo also said that Amien Rais as Chairman of the Syuro Council of the Ummat Party had also received Neno Warisman’s resignation letter.
“We are collective, he is the Shura Council, the Syuro Council is not working, but thinking that’s it. So those who work for the DPP, we (the Syuro Council) provide inputs, those who work for the DPP. Instead, the letter (resignation) to Pak Amien was addressed,” he explained.
As is known, Amien Rais has officially declared the Ummah Party. The general chairman (Ketum) of the Ummat Party is Amien Rais’ son-in-law, Ridho Rahmadi.
In the management of the Ummah Party, Amien Rais holds the position of Chairman of the Syuro Assembly. Meanwhile Neno Warisman served as Deputy Chair III of the Ummat Party Syuro Council.
