Neil Niren Connery (December 16, 1938 – May 9, 2021) [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] was a Scottish actor and plasterer and younger brother of the actor Sean Connery . [6]

His father, Joseph Connery, was a truck driver and his mother, Euphemia (Effie) McLean, worked as a cleaner. [7] Connery had a modest upbringing in a deprived area of ​​Edinburgh. He appeared in several movies. Connery died on May 9, 2021, at age 82, from a brief illness; seven months after his older brother.

Connery’s film debut was in OK Connery (1967), a film inspired by James Bond . [8] The film was retitled Operation Kid Brother in the United States and is also known as Operation Double 007 . It became known for having several of the original James Bond series actors appear as look-alike characters. OK Connery appeared in Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (1998) under his alternate title , Operation Double 007 . [9]

In 1969, Connery appeared in the science fiction film The Body Stealers also known as Thin Air where he played Jim Radford, an investigator trying to figure out why skydivers disappear into thin air. [10]

In 1980, Connery guest-starred on the British television series Only When I Laugh . He played the character of Neil Niren MD – CT, in the seventh episode ( “Last Tango” ) from the second season.
