Negative travel advice will be extended until April 15th

The urgent advice not to travel abroad unless strictly necessary remains in effect for the time being. The advice was valid until March 31, and the cabinet plans to extend it until April 15. Sources in The Hague confirm a report about this from De Telegraaf.

The final decision has yet to be taken, but according to insiders this is a formality. Prime Minister Rutte and Minister De Jonge will announce the extension tomorrow evening at their press conference about the corona measures.

Yesterday it became clear that the cabinet will hardly announce any easing tomorrow, because the contamination figures are still too high. The cabinet is, however, making preparations to give society more space in three weeks’ time. If the grades go in the right direction, the terraces can open and physical education can also be given at higher professional education and universities.
