EA has been focusing more and more on relaster release recently. The American company made a conscious decision to bring back improved versions of older classics. We have this month Burnout Paradise for the Nintendo Switch (Review in progress) and Command and Conquer seen. In addition to speculation for a new edition of Mass Effect-Trilogie has now become a persistent rumor Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit – Remaster opened.
And it seems another fan favorite game from 2010 will also get a remaster soon. According to a report by Jeff Grubb from GamesBeat becomes SHE a remaster of the racing driver developed by Criterion 2010 Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit publish. It is said to be one of the seven games EA will offer for the next 12 months Nintendo Switch wants to publish. In addition, it is reportedly also released for PC and “other consoles” (PS4 and Xbox One).
Whether these other consoles PS5 and the Xbox Series X included or not remains to be seen, but it is more than likely that the Remaster will be a cross-gen version.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was released in 2010 for critical and commercial success and was the first of two games in the series to be released by Criterion were developed. The studio recently recaptured the franchise’s reign and is working on a new, yet unannounced Need for Speed title.
