Rookie Franz Wagner won the German duel against Dennis Schröder in the professional basketball league NBA with Orlando Magic. Orlando prevailed against the Houston Rockets with 119:111 and celebrated the first win after four losses. Wagner scored 13 points and eight rebounds in a clash between two crisis teams, his older brother Moritz was absent due to injury. Orlando remains bottom of the Eastern Conference after their 14th win of the season.
Schröder, on the other hand, is still waiting for his first win with his new team. The international scored ten points in around 27 minutes of play. For Houston, bottom of the table in the Western Conference, it was the eighth bankruptcy in a row.
National player Maximilian Kleber suffered a defeat with the Dallas Mavericks. The Würzburger only got three points in the 109:114 defeat at the Utah Jazz. Dallas is still on the direct play-off course with fifth place. Isaiah Hartenstein celebrated a narrow victory in the city duel with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 23-year-old contributed eleven points in the 105:102 against the Lakers.
Also, superstar James Harden shone on his debut for the Philadelphia 76ers. The 32-year-old was instrumental in the 133-102 win at the Minnesota Timberwolves with 27 points and 12 assists.
