Timberwolves 107 – Nuggets 115

It was not going to be as easy to leave the reigning NBA champion, the MVP team, on the road, as it seemed in the first two games of the series. The Denver Nuggets won the second game as a visitor against the Minnesota Timberwolves this Sunday (115-107) and regained the home field advantage in this Western Conference semifinal series.

An incredible triple by Jamal Murrayon the half-time horn and from beyond the center line, after a ball that the Timberwolves had given him looking for a quick play action, was the coup d’état that Minnesota could not overcome.

The Nuggets were 15 points up at the locker room, a cushion they would maintain for the rest of the game.

Nikola Jokic was the best on his team with 35 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assistssome fantastic numbers for the MVP who was very well surrounded: Aaron Gordon scored 27 points (in addition to 6 rebounds and 7 assists) with a spectacular 11 of 12 shooting from the field.

Murray, the author of the heroic triple, finished with 19 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds.

Anthony Edwards wanted to redeem himself from the last game and carried his team on his back. He scored 44 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and distributed 5 assists, but it was insufficient despite the fact that Karl-Anthony Towns contributed a double-double (13 points and 12 rebounds), as did Rudy Gobert (11 points and 14 rebounds). Mike Conley came close with 15 points and 9 assists. A true duel of titans.

Only five teams in history have won a tie after losing their first two home games. Denver wants to be sixth.

Nuggets and Timberwolves will play Game 5 of the series on Tuesday in Colorado.

Pacers 121 – Knicks 89

The Indiana Pacers were looking to tie their tie with the New York Knicks this Sunday, but they achieved much more than that: they played a spectacular game in which they knocked out their rival (121-89).

The Indiana team dominated the game from start to finish, with an electric game, without respite, reaching a lead of +43 in the last quarter.

An enormous demonstration of play with which they not only tied their Eastern semifinals at two, but also ensured that they transferred all the pressure to the Knicks and that the series will return to Indianapolis.

Tyrese Haliburton was decisive with his 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in just 27 minutes and 32 seconds. He was the player with the most minutes played. The Pacers no longer needed their starters.

The Pacers were 50 of 88 from the field (56.8%) and 14 of 31 from 3-point range (45.2%).

The Knicks were the other side of the coin: 30 of 89 in field goals (33.6%), 7 of 37 in triples (18.9%) and were not even good from the free throw line (22 of 31 , 71%). A nonsense.

Without OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson had 18 points (6 of 17 field goals), Donte DiVincenzo 7 (3 of 13) and Josh Hart 2 (1 of 6).

Game 5 will be played this coming Tuesday at Madison Square Garden before the tie returns to Indianapolis on Friday for game 6.
