NBA: Dallas Mavericks lose to the Kings in the last second

The Dallas Mavericks suffered a bitter bankruptcy in Sacramento at the last second. Boston experiences an evening of horror from a distance, Trae Young is upset after another Hawks defeat, Devin Booker reaches a milestone. And: The Knicks Bank saves catastrophic starters again.

Detroit Pistons (5-28) – New York Knicks (17-18) 85:94 (BOXSCORE)

  • Disastrous starters, strong bank – the game against the Pistons was a reflection of the Knicks season so far and gave us a memorable box score. Each starter of the guests had a plus / minus of -17 or worse, each bank player, on the other hand, was +27 or better. Ultimately, Alec Burks saved the Knicks from embarrassment in Detroit.
  • The Pistons, with only four players from the normal 15-man squad, sniffed the surprise in the third quarter. This section went to Detroit at 30:16, the Pistons lead increased to 14 points. Saddiq Bey with a career record (32, 9/19 FG) and Hamidou Diallo (31, 13/19 FG and 13 rebounds) almost always had their fingers in the game.
  • For long stretches of the third round, the Knicks starters were on the floor, but they weren’t allowed to run at all in the final section. Instead, Burks was definitely hot, his 19 points in this round alone (4/5 threes) spurred the guests after the bank had already shortened towards the end of the third quarter. Detroit had nothing to counter the Knicks reservists (65: 7 bank points in total).
  • Burks set his career high with a total of 34 points (12/17 FG) from the bank, and Immanuel Quickley, who came up with a spinning letter on his jersey, also delivered good scoring (18). The starters around Julius Randle (5, 2/11 FG), Kemba Walker (2, 1/5 FG) or RJ Barrett (15, 5/12 FG) remained completely pale and can thank the bank for the victory.
  • Corona-Protokoll: Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes, Josh Jackson, Cory Joseph, Saben Lee, Trey Lyles, Rodney McGruder, Isaiah Stewart (alle Pistons) – Nerlens Noel, Wayne Selden, Jericho Sims (alle Knicks).
