The players of Nautical positioned themselves in favor of a campaign against the arrest of the team’s masseuse, Paulo Mariano. The 27-year-old professional is accused of participating in a bus robbery in December 2018.
Names like Kieza, Jean Carlos, Jefferson and trainer Hélio dos Anjos used their profiles on social networks to post photos and messages that went in support of the demonstrations made for the freedom of the masseuse. In addition to them, former player Jorge Henrique also took a stand.
Arrested since February 24, Paulo has the legal support of the Pernambuco team. However, until then, Náutico did not comment institutionally on the fact.
Paulo Mariano’s defense maintains that the masseuse was mistaken for someone else. In the testimonies collected, one of the participants in the robbery stated that one of those involved was called Mariano.
