Apple also uses its own store to download Apps which is equipped with higher safety standards than those of its main competitors.

The ban on the use of iPhones

Despite having demonstrated the validity of its products, the apple is still indigestible for the politicians of some countries, who have decided to permanently ban the iPhone. This is not the first time this has happened, already during the first crisis in Ukraine in 2014, Russia responded to theEU embargoarranging the closure of McDonald’s and a halt to the sale of Apple-branded smartphones.

After almost 10 years, thePutin administration still targets the American giant emanating the banning all government employees from using the iPhone. Initially, many thought it was a joke, the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, intervened to clarify the matter and confirmed the ban for all Apple-branded devices.

In an international market context, the operation seems very clear, with the Russia pointing to technological sovereignty. Banning the Apple brand frees up a part of the market in which it operates Aurora OS, an operating system developed by the Russian company Open Mobile Platform. Just as instant messaging software produced in Russia has been indicated, to be preferred to the more widespread and used ones. It is therefore not surprising that the numerous rumors spread by the national press justifying these decisions as matters of national security. Some newspapers have even defined Apple devices as tools of expert hackers in the hands of Western secret services.
