Vladivostok resident Mikhail Galin confirmed the death of his pet, a nationally known cat named Victor. RIA Novosti reports about the incident.
Russia found out about Victor when he was not allowed on the plane because he was overweight.
“A cat who lived his life with dignity and did more for this world than many people. Run along the rainbow, Victor the cat,” Mikhail told reporters.
The cat became famous in 2019, when during control Mikhail was asked to check the pet in his luggage due to exceeding the established weight limit. Then Victor’s owner resorted to a trick and took a boarding pass for another cat weighing less. But Aeroflot learned about the fraud and canceled Mikhail’s account and bonus miles, causing a great outcry in society.
