National minimum wage already meets Brussels requirement

It is one of the flags of the new community executive led by Ursula von der Leyen. The European Commission (EC) wants to set common rules for defining the minimum wage in the various countries of the European Union (EU) and this week launched the first phase of the discussion with the social partners.

But if you are one of the more than 700 thousand workers in Portugal who receive the guaranteed minimum wage, you do not have many expectations that this will mean a salary increase.
