National League: Lepaul’s Stunning Performance Leads Épinal to Victory Against Nîmes

The man of the evening, on the National side?

Without a doubt Lepaul, who was the author of a double (a winning tackle on the surface, and a penalty) and who created a surprise with the red lantern Épinal by overthrowing Nîmes (tenth) away… so that the Crocos had opened the scoring with the powerful Mbina, launched from deep after a handful of seconds. On the other hand, this Friday’s goal was signed by Pierre: against Le Mans (fifth), who later narrowly reduced the score by the former Olympique de Marseille Rabillard, the Avranches midfielder (ninth) did well opened his foot to make the break after his partner Kérouédan opened the score via a nice diving header. It was also a blow of the helmet which allowed Morente to put Martigues (sixth) on the right track, in Villefranche (fourth). For its part, Dijon (seventh) found the fault in front of Versailles (twelfth) thanks to Sahid on a cross behind after returning from the locker room and doubled the lead through the incoming Irié (even if Baaloudj, snatched, prevented the clean sheet).

Like Rouen (second) with Ghedjemis in Châteauroux (sixteenth) at the half-hour mark, Ibayi then doubling the lead after a huge defensive spree and Abdelmoula hitting the nail on the head at the end. Rather poorly in the standings, Cholet (fifteenth) also managed to make the difference at the start of the second half: in the heart of the penalty area, Abdeldjelil took his time to give his team a precious advantage against GOAL ( thirteenth). On the other hand, only one match was not entitled to any shake of the net: in the second part of the table, Marignane (fourteenth) and Orléans (eleventh) shared the points. Finally, Nancy (penultimate) believed to dominate Sochaux (eighth) on the shortest of margins… But in added time, Viltard emerged to equalize with an absolutely superb strike which competes with the masterpiece of Rock. It remains to know the Lorraine scorer: Gromat, or Gomel?

Not a great vintage, in any case, this twelfth day of the third division.
