MARSEILLE (FRANCE) – The times when he dribbled, scored and enchanted with the jerseys – among others – of Marseille, Arsenal, City and Seville are far away for Samir Nasri. The Frenchman has retired for just a month, but the physical form is already far from that of an athlete: the images of Overweight Nasri in the field in the “Match des Heros”, the match for his farewell to football between the legends of Olympique Marseille and a team of Unicef. The former Manchester man announced the end of his career on 26 September at the age of 34 (he is the same age as Messi, Benzema, Cavani and Bonucci, just to name a few) and had been without a team for about a year, after his last experience at the ‘Anderlecht. In a short time Nasri has gained weight and against Abidal, Karembeu, Cambiasso, Kluivert and Gaizka Mendieta, all playing for Unicef, he showed up with several extra kilos.
