SURYAKEPRI.COM – NASA will delay the launch of a rover that will hunt water on the Moon until 2024.

This gives more time to develop the landing vehicle in the Viper Moon mission.

The Viper (Volatile Investigating Polar Exploration Rover) was scheduled to launch in November 2023, but the launch date has been pushed back to November 2024.

NASA will use the additional time to conduct tests on the Griffin lander that will deliver the Viper to the Moon’s south pole.

Both the Viper and the Griffin lander were built by Astrobiotic, a Pittsburgh company contracted by NASA to build both vehicles.
