Comet C/2014 UN271 has an estimated diameter of about 80 miles. This means that the comet is larger than the state of Rhode Island.

NASA reports that the comet’s nucleus is estimated to be 50 times larger than any comet ever discovered. Not only a very large nucleus or nucleus, the comet also has a mass of up to 500 trillion tons.

This means that the comet seen has a mass one hundred thousand times greater than the mass of ordinary comets found closer to the Sun.
