Nasa discovers vampire in space: Doppelstern eats itself

NASA discovers vampire in the universe – this double star eats itself: The pictures in the video show it: This is what it looks like when a “vampire star” soaks up another. Nasa managed to take these pictures with the help of the Kepler telescope – and they are spectacular.

Because: “Vampire Stars” are absolutely rare. According to a university from the USA, the binary star is about 3000 light years away from us in space. As lead scientist Ryan Ridden-Harper says, this process takes about 30 days.

Vampire Star: One eats the other

The two stars orbit each other very quickly and very closely. They are bound together by gravity. And since the two are very close, the inner star always draws a little substance from the little one – he eats it, so to speak.

At the same time that NASA made this rare discovery, experts observed the giant star “Betelgeuse” in the constellation “Orion” with increased vigilance. It threatens to explode – and could become a supernova in the foreseeable future.
