NASA chose the incredible photo of the moon that a Cordovan professor of astronomy captured

Sergio Scauso, who teaches astronomy at the Municipal Technology Library of his city, Villa María, in Córdoba, captured the occultation of Mars from the moon with his telescope.

That was on August 9th, the 15th NASA posted the photo on their site as the Astronomical Picture of the Day (APOD).

APOD is the website sponsored by NASA and Michigan University of Technology, where images of the universe are published daily.

The news reached the councilors of the block Come on Villa Maria, who presented a project to declare the recognition of Sergio Scauso for his work.
