NASA’s Anita mission to Antarctica has identified cosmic rays whose origins lie in a universe parallel to ours, where everything is reversed.
It is an extraordinary discovery that upsets all of our cosmic certainties. Our universe would have a double, a reflection, perhaps even it would be only one “bubble” among others, as suggested by the theory of multiverses evoked since 1440 by Nicolas de Cues, but of which we had until ‘here no scientific evidence.

But what did Peter Gorham discover there? During flights carried out in 2006 and 2014, the balloon sensors of the Anita experiment recorded a phenomenon defying the laws of physics. Cosmic rays have been spotted, but rather than moving from top to bottom, they appeared in the opposite direction. From bottom to top, as if they had come out of the ice.
A mirror universe where everything would be reversed
We first believed in a technical anomaly, then scientists put forward another hypothesis: could the rays captured by the Anita mission have been emitted directly above the North Pole, have crossed the Earth to come out through the Pole South? Logical assumption, but which collides with the laws of physics: low energy neutrinos have the ability to make such a journey through matter. The rays analyzed by NASA in Antarctica are made up of high energy particles which do not have the same characteristics.
For scientists, there can only be one explanation: these particles would travel upside down not in space but in time, and would originate from a universe parallel to ours, which also appeared during the big bang, but where everything would be reversed: the course of time, the left and the right, the top and the bottom… The researchers want to believe it, them who, since 2016, vainly review all the data collected by the balloon Anita looking for a computer or interpretation error.
