Surat – A gold statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi weighing 156 grams (19.5 pav) to celebrate the BJP’s victory in the Gujarat assembly elections with 156 seats. Surat’s Radhika Chains Jewelery made half the statue of 18 carat gold at a cost of Rs 11 lakh.
The BJP won 156 out of 182 seats in the elections held last December. Basant Bora, a native of Rajasthan, said that 20 people worked for 3 months to complete the statue. He has also made a model of the Statue of Liberty in the US in gold.
