Mustamäe’s central party members support Kõlvart as chairman

At the meeting of the Mustamäe district board of the Central Party, it was decided by consensus to support Mihhail Kõlvart’s candidacy for the position of party chairman at the extraordinary congress in Paide in September.

“In Mustamäe, it was unanimously agreed that Mihhail Kõlvart has a clear vision and a strategic view of the future of the Center Party and its position in the political landscape of Estonia,” said the chairman of the Mustamäe region, a member of the Riigikogu Lauri Laats. “Both as the mayor of Tallinn and in his previous positions, Mihhail Kõlvart has proven his ability to lead the team towards the achievement of goals. We believe that the party needs a long view, a new and fresh leadership to get out of the current slump, and not only because the 2024 European Parliament elections and the 2025 local elections await. The most important thing is the future of our country. These tasks mean that under the leadership of the new chairman, the party has to start working hard to get in good shape right away.”

“Mihhail Kõlvart is a worthy candidate for the position of the chairman of the Center Party,” said the member of the board of the Mustamäe region, founding member of the Center Party Andres from Kolli. “The party needs a new opportunity: a clearly formulated identity and goals. It is important to understand how great the dangers lie in dividing society: old-young, Tallinn-other Estonia, rich-poor, Estonians-non-Estonians. As a continuation of the ideas of the People’s Front, the Central Party has an important stabilizing role to play here. We have to take back our natural position on the Estonian political landscape that we have lost to date. I am full of hope that under Mihhail Kõvarti’s leadership we will get a new lease of life and we will once again start working together to protect the interests of our voters. Estonia really needs a strong Center Party.”

The extraordinary congress of the Central Party will take place on September 10 in Paide.
