Muslim Astronaut Celebrates Eid in Space Wearing Traditional Kantoora

Dubai: Sultan Al Niadi celebrated Eid wearing Kantura in space. A video of him standing on the International Space Station wearing a traditional Arab dress, Kantoora and a turban, was released on Twitter. The video is in the background of music. It has been mentioned in the tweet that I will celebrate Eid with my loyal friend ‘Suhaili’. A baby doll named ‘Suhail’ is the lucky mascot of the UAE Space Agency. Warm wishes to family, friends and everyone on earth on this auspicious occasion. Al Niadi wishes you peace, happiness and prosperity in Arabic. It is the first time that a Muslim astronaut has spent Ramadan entirely on the space station and welcomed the festival.
