Music and poetry, protagonists of the meetings that close the 2020 program of the Centro del 27

Born in Madrid, Ricardo Virtanen obtained his PhD in Hispanic Philology with his thesis ‘Guillermo de Torre’s avant-garde experience’. He is currently a professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.

In 1999 he published his essay on linguistics Resolute Language. His critical works include the anthologies’ Hitos y señas. Anthology of Spanish poetry ‘(1966-1996), published in 2001,’ De tu tierra. The music that will accompany the verses of Ricardo Virtanen will be in charge of Pablo García (Saxo), Ramón López (Drums), Daniel Amat (Piano) and Francis Posé (Double bass).

Marco Antonio de la Ossa is a teacher in Music Education, a Bachelor in Music History and Sciences, a Master in Cultural Management and a Doctor of Fine Arts. He currently works at the CEIP San Fernando (Cuenca) as a teacher of Musical Education, and is an associate professor at the Faculty of Education of Cuenca (UCLM), within the Department of Musical, Plastic and Body Expression.

He is also an associate professor in the Master in Music Therapy at UNIR. Lastly, he directs and presents the Musiquerías space at Onda Cero Cuenca, the Didactics of Music and Musicology Conference at the UIMP of Cuenca and the Summer Festival Cuenca.

To date, he has published seven books, several chapters in collective books, and numerous articles in specialized magazines. Among his books are ‘Ángel, Musa and Duende. Federico García Lorca and Music ‘; ‘The Music in the Civil War’; ‘Repertory, History and Experiences in the rear’.
