Murmura raises the curtain with wine tourism, gastronomy and lots of music

The Alpujarra of Almeria has been living since yesterday afternoon the premiere of the Murmura Festival, which will develop a fortnight of activities and proposals that combine music, tourism, heritage, nature and gastronomy, adapting to the environment and taking great care of each of the details. All this, added to the quality of the participating artists and bands and the interestingness of the complementary appointments, has made the first of the days a success. ‘Costa de Almería’ and Diputación, together with Crash Music, promote culture and tourism in La Alpujarra with this original initiative.

In the first place, the Tetas de la Sacristana de Fondón winery was the perfect setting for a professional meeting with the director of the Sonorama festival Ribera, Javier Ajenjo, who shared the talk ‘Oenological and Festival Tourism’, which aroused great interest among participating businessmen and cultural agents.

A meeting that was attended by the deputy for Culture and Cinema, Manuel Guzmán, who valued “very positively that they open discussion spaces to share successful experiences. I think it is important to continue growing in activities that offer much more than just a traditional cultural event, adding the virtues of the area, which in the case of the province of Almería are many, as will be shown in this Murmura Festival with the Alpujarra ”.

In his talk, Javier Ajenjo recounted his experience at the helm of Sonorama Ribera. A festival that is not only one of the benchmarks of indie music in recent years, but has also become a symbol for the integration of oenology. The bars of the festival offer fifty varieties of denomination of origin wine and in recent editions more than 20,000 bottles have been consumed, bringing wine consumption to a younger audience, which has learned to enjoy the variety of categories: reds, rosés, young, crianza, reserva …

In addition, Wormwood also highlighted its commitment to wine tourism in all its forms, facing the family side as a challenge for the future, that allows parents to attend the festival, also sharing activities related to the landscape, gastronomy, heritage, nature or art with the little ones.

Concerts in Canjáyar and Fondón

Regarding music, the Canton of Buenavista de Canjáyar was the place chosen for the first of the twenty concerts to be held until next Sunday. It was with Divine World. A project led by María del Tango together with El Calimbero, with which they released their first single ‘Ya No Sé’ at the end of 2019, recorded at La Luciérnaga Estudio, in Mallorca, with Juanito Makandé, Víctor Iniesta, Enriquito and Juan Carlos Aracil and that has helped them to continue making themselves known before their first album comes out, of which they interpreted several songs such as ‘Ya No Sé’, ‘Loca’, ‘El Cielo Es De Nosotros’ or the recently released ‘Divine little things’.

Their music and lyrics shine with their own light and mainly draw from flamenco, Andalusian rock and root music, turning them into beautiful songs of the soul that flood any space with magic. A concert that, in addition, It was sweetened by the well-known Canjáyar meringues, Made in an artisanal way with a mixer, a wood oven, a traditional pastry hose and pine wood boards for the union of both parts that compose it.

Shortly after, the Plaza de San Sebastián de Fondón received the first great night of concerts, with the cantaora Laura Fernández, the author’s poetry by Javier Ruibal and the bolero cut by Zenet.

The flamenco of the disabled singer Laura Fernandez, accompanied on guitar by her brother Pablo, came to reflect that inclusive side with which Crash Music permeates all its activities, as it does at Cooltural Fest, through its Music For All Foundation.
