Graz – The ÖVP is likely to be the big winner of the Styrian municipal council elections on Sunday – the first in times of Corona: After counting 181 out of 285 municipalities, the ÖVP gained nationwide, the SPÖ lost a little, the blue lost in many municipalities, the small parties KPÖ, Greens and Neos grew. Downside: A turnout that dropped by around ten percentage points despite a record number of voting cards.
