Much progress in reviewing the registry of missing persons: AMLO

Mexico City. After meeting with the head of the National Search Commission, Teresa Guadalupe Reyes Sahagún this Tuesday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador maintained that considerable progress has been made in the review of the registry of missing persons because “thousands of people have been found.” but they are maintained in the National Registry of Missing or Unlocated Persons.

He indicated that in many cases, it has been detected that people leave their homes for various reasons, including, in several cases unrelated to situations of violence, and that they have been located every time they left the family for some reason. That’s why we have located thousands of them.

“There are those that do have to do with violence, there are two types. Those that have to do with the disappearances of the State, like everything that happened that there are complaints from local state authorities, from the federal government.

“And then there are those missing due to confrontation between criminal groups, we are working on the three cases, a fairly professional job is being done, not only those who were absent from the family are being found missing, but also those who were victims of violence” , said.
