Modern cleaning products, especially dishwashers, have made it much easier for us to wash the dishes. However, they can’t handle everything. All it takes is a moment of inattention and a burnt pot will keep you busy for tens of minutes. We recommend that you remove dried fat from pans and pots.
Rub the deposits on the jars
Burnt pans, deposits on the bottom of the pan or pot where you can barely see the original bottom. Hardened or encrusted dirt is difficult to remove, even with modern chemical deposit removers. First aid is always soaking in hot water, but this is often not enough. Sometimes it is useful to put the pot with the sediment and water back on the heat, add a dishwasher detergent or tablet to the water and cook for a while.
When even that doesn’t help, the hardest task comes. Begin to remove the burn by mechanical means. But a traditional kitchen sponge won’t help you, you need a more powerful ally on the way to a clean pan.
Cleaning with aluminum foil
For pots and pans that are not treated with a non-stick coating (e.g. Teflon surface), aluminum foil can be used for cleaning. The popular foil has versatile uses and is not only used to cover snacks while cooking or to wrap a hot snack.
When cleaning with aluminum foil, you need to tear off a larger piece and carefully squeeze it into a ball. With the help of water and detergent (in a small amount), you can easily clean a burnt pot with a crumpled ball of foil. You can use the same procedure to clean the inside of the dishwasher, the racks or the inside of the oven. Even a burnt iron can be cleaned well with an aluminum ball.
Tricks with aluminum in the kitchen
Cleaning with aluminum foil is good advice, but aluminum foil will help you in many other situations. Try cleaning with aluminum foil on gold and silver jewelry or silver cutlery. It is known on aluminum foil that the shiny side insulates and reflects heat, the matte side absorbs heat. Put aluminum foil behind the radiators at home, the heat will flow more into the room.
