Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali are currently in the Johannesburg Super Kings squad. Faf is a player who previously played for Chennai Super Kings. Moeen is currently in the Chennai team.
The Cape Town franchise of Mumbai Indians has brought big stars to the team. MI Cape Town is the franchise owned by Mumbai Indians in South Africa’s CSA T20 League. Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran, Liam Livingston and Devald Brevis will play for Cape Town, officials said.

Each team is allowed to field five players each before the auction. This should include three foreign players, one South African player and one South African uncapped player.
