The Formula 1 season started today in Bahrain and Verstappen led from start to finish.
Before this year’s season, Red Bull was the favorite. In the season debut, they also proved to be the fastest on the 5.4 kilometer course on the Arabian Peninsula.
– We had a lot of pace, it was so enjoyable to drive. We stayed out of trouble. It’s a good start to the year, it couldn’t be better, says Max Verstappen to Sky Sports.
Verstappen crossed the finish line 22 seconds ahead of teammate Sergio Perez.
Both of Ferrari’s drivers were the main contenders for the Red Bull stable. Carlos Sainz managed to come in third and secure a place on the podium, while team mate Charles Leclerc placed fourth.
