The Motorola Edge X30 is still hot on the market, but Motorola wants to raise the bar even higher with a new device codenamed “Frontier”. And, as the name implies, “Frontier” will push the boundaries of hardware further, improving the X30 in a number of ways, such as charging and cameras.
To be very honest, the information leak features even more quirks than this improved hardware. It starts by indicating that the new “Frontier” will have the Qualcomm SM8475 processor, a chip that we have not heard of at any time and that could be a version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 manufactured by Samsung and not by TSMC, to circumvent the shortage of chips. This point is extremely interesting, but we have to take it with a little salt.
For the rest, we already knew that there would be a Motorola with the new 200MP Samsung H1P1 sensor, and it looks like it will be this “Frontier”. It will be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto lens. Like the Motorola Edge X30, we will have a 60MP front sensor.
Finally, we can talk about the battery. According to this information leak, the Motorola “Frontier” will have 125W wireless charging, an excellent value that puts it at the level of the best in the current market, showing the investment that Lenovo is making to recover Motorola’s name as a decidedly premium.
