Motorola has planned an ‘e-vent’ for next week to announce its new major smartphone. The video from Motorola shows that this ‘flagship’ has a curved screen.
The video briefly shows the phone with curved screen. The online event will take place next Wednesday at 6:00 PM Dutch time, according to the announcement. The invitation does not give away anything about the specifications and functions of the phone.
There have been rumors of a phone called Edge and Edge + for months. Both models would have a 6.7 “OLED panel with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. That would be a screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, an area of 110 square centimeters and dimensions of 15.5×7.1cm. Both devices have a 3.5mm jack, which is becoming increasingly rare on high-end models The Edge would have a 64-megapixel camera as the primary camera, the Edge + would be a 108-megapixel sensor.
With that, it also seems that parent company Lenovo is discontinuing the Moto Z line of smartphones. These phones have a connector to connect accessories such as a cover with a battery, cover with a speaker or cover with a different camera. The first Moto Z phones appeared in 2016.
