This company is called Lordstown Motors. At the moment, only one model of the new brand is presented, which is called Endurance. This is an electric pickup truck that has an unusual power plant – instead of a standard engine, the so-called motor wheels are used here. In total, they give out 600 hp.

Alas, so far there is little information about the technical stuffing of Lordstown Endurance. We can only assume that the car will be able to drive about 320 km on a single charge, and the acceleration time of 0-100 km / h will be about 5.5 s.

The preliminary price for this unusual pickup is about 52.5 thousand dollars. Moreover, buyers will still be able to receive a tax deduction from this amount of 7.5 thousand dollars. The first customers will receive their cars in January 2021, and will be assembled at a former GM plant in Ohio.

Note that in addition to electric pickups, many new electric trucks will appear on the market soon. For example, German company Evum Motors has already announced the imminent start of sales of its first electric truck aCar. The technical capabilities of this machine with a carrying capacity of 1 ton are not amazing: the maximum speed is only 70 km / h, and the range is no more than 200 km (and there will be a version in general with a range of only 100 km). But this machine is not intended for travel between cities and countries. Farmers will need it in order to take their vegetables / fruits to the nearest market or delivery services. ⠀
