KOMPAS.com – MotoGP standings 2020 is predicted to experience a little change after the Czech GP.

Czech MotoGP is the third series of world championships this season which will take place at the Brno Circuit, Sunday (9/8/2020) at 19.00 WIB.

Peak MotoGP standings 2020 is still occupied by Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT), who collected 50 points.

Fabio Quartararo has the opportunity to return to the podium and maintain the top position because he will start the Czech MotoGP race from second.

Quartararo’s position in the MotoGP standings is followed by Maverick Vinales (Monster Energy Yamaha) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati).

Quartararo is 10 points ahead of Vinales and is 14 points away from Dovizioso.

Vinales will later start the Czech MotoGP race from fifth.

As for Dovizioso, he has to fight extra hard to get points in this third series because it will start from 18th.

Seeing the starting position of the Czech MotoGP, Quartararo and Vinales are likely to remain in the top two of the standings, while Dovizioso could be knocked out of third place.

Johann Zarco (Reale Avintia) and Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) are the two riders most likely to enter the top three of the riders’ standings after the Czech MotoGP.

This could not be separated from the starting position of Johann Zarco and Morbidelli.

Johann Zarco will start the Czech MotoGP race from first place, while Morbidelli completes the front grid behind Quartararo.

Morbidelli has a great chance of winning the podium in the Czech MotoGP because throughout the free practice (FP) until qualification shows consistency.

The Italian racer is currently ranked 10th in the MotoGP riders’ standings with a collection of 11 points.

Meanwhile, Johann Zarco is two levels above Morbidelli with a one-point advantage.

Vinales’ teammate, Valentino Rossi, this time he had to go through tough challenges to realize his ambition to reach the 200th podium throughout his career in MotoGP.

This could not be separated from the qualifying results which made Rossi have to start the Czech MotoGP race from 10th.

Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Racing) and Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) are the two riders who will miss the Czech MotoGP due to injury.

Bagnaia suffered a shin fracture in his right leg after an accident during the session (FP1 Czech MotoGP, Friday (7/8/2020).

The injury made Bagnaia have to get on the operating table and the possibility of returning to the track in mid-September.

On the other hand, Marc Marquez decided to resign from the Czech MotoGP first after undergoing second arm surgery on Monday (3/8/2020).
