MotoGp Jerez 2020, Quartararo triumphs. Dovizioso is third. Marquez and Rossi retired – Sport

Jerez de la Frontera, 19 luglio 2020 – Fabio Quartararo dominated the Spanish Grand Prix, the first round of the MotoGP World Championship, right from the start, starting from pole. The French Yamaha Petronas rider at the Jerez circuit took his first career victory in the premier class.

Second Maverick Vinales, before Andrea Dovizioso. A race full of emotions, starting with Marquez’s long turn 4, which makes him retreat to the rear. The Spanish captain of Honda makes a wonderful comeback, but when he is third he thwarts everything with a fall that forces him to retire. Also Valentino Rossi leave the race early. The Doctor is forced to stop his Yamaha six laps from the end. Fourth Jack Miller on Ducati Pramac. Fifth Morbidelli and sixth Bagnaia. Petrucci closes in ninth position.

In the warm up to report the bad fall of Crutchlow, who violently beat up on the ground and was transported to a mobile clinic, then to the Jerez hospital for further checks. There is talk of head injury: it has not run.

Valentino Rossi’s little brother starts off great, Luca Marini, that dominates Jerez in Moto 2 on his Sky Racing Team VR46. The Italian rider thus achieves the fourth victory. Behind him Nagashima and Martin. Bezzecchi crashed at turn 9, with no consequences.
