Valentino Rossi mention horror accident in Moto3 America 2021 could happen because the drivers at the bottom of the Grand Prix class are crazy.
The 2021 American Moto3 was marked by a horror crash involving Indonesia’s Gresini’s Jeremy Alcoba, leader Pedro Acosta and Italian Andrea Migno.
The three drivers had a terrible accident due to Deniz Oncu’s dangerous maneuvers. The race was then stopped for a second time with Izan Guevara declared the winner.
Rossi admits he is disappointed with the decision race direction which set the second race five laps after the first red flag due to Filip Salac crash. The Doctor thinks the drivers in the Moto3 class are crazy.
“The decision to start the race with five laps is wrong because it is too dangerous. The Moto3 riders are out of control, especially in a five-lap race. The problem is they are crazy, they are too aggressive. They have been taught to be aggressive from a young age,” said Rossi quoted from AS.
Rossi then backed the suspension from Moto3 Emilia Romagna and Moto3 Algarve for Oncu. The Italian racer said Oncu should receive a more severe punishment if he repeats a dangerous maneuver like in the American Moto3.
“Someone can be seriously injured. They have gone crazy. Something has to be done. We have often said that drivers should not change lanes on the straight. Those who do that should stay at home,” said Rossi.
“The punishment for Oncu is right, and it’s a minimal punishment. The situation is out of control in Moto3. Oncu made a dangerous maneuver. Motorcycle racing is too dangerous if you don’t respect your opponent,” said Rossi.
