The mother of Blankenberg’s Nathan Vandergunst (21) – better known on YouTube as Acid – reacts to the fuss that has arisen after a fight with the most popular Flemish YouTuber Céline Dept and her boyfriend. “Nathan never wanted this smear,” Michèle told the Krant van West-Vlaanderen.

Michèle thinks her son has been portrayed unjustly. “He came out as an unscrupulous rebel, which he is not at all.” She emphasizes that her son and his Acid type on YouTube are two different personalities. “Behind that tough facade is actually a very sensitive boy. Nathan is always there for others, he is a nice guy who goes to eat with his grandmother and grandfather every week. (…) He never wanted all of that. We are all very shocked. ”
In the meantime, Nathan himself has also responded to the fuss in De Morgen. He himself tolerates the comments, but the messages affect him. “Because I notice that it hurts my parents.”
