The court of the Central Netherlands determined this on Friday. Bram Moszkowicz had made statements in the television program Studio Powned, on February 19, 2015, that were assessed as unlawful.
‘Not worth the name’
Among other things, Bram Moszkowicz had said that “nephew Yehudi is not worth his last name” and especially advised people to go to his brothers David and Max if they need a lawyer. In addition, he added that his nephew is not an excellent lawyer.
Yehudi Moszkowicz had filed a lawsuit against his well-known family member and has been successful in the court. The judge did not go along with Bram Moszkowicz’s defense that his statements are not unlawful and that this is freedom of expression. Because of intangible damage, the convicted person has to pay 10,000.
