Most of the 31 new infections detected last day were in Kuldīga municipality, where a total of 17 cases were registered, but eight more cases were detected in Rīga, according to the data compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPC).
Cases of Covid-19 detected last day were registered in Kuldīga, Olaine, Salaspils, Carnikava and Garkalne counties, as well as in Riga and Daugavpils.
Two new patients have been registered in Daugavpils. The incidence of Covid-19 has returned to Carnikava and Garkalne districts, where previously all the patients had recovered, but now once again one of them has been registered in each municipality. One new patient was also registered in Salaspils and Olaine districts.
In turn, out of 34 people who have recovered from Covid-19 since September 10, the most – nine – are registered in Riga. Five residents have also recovered in Daugavpils and Kraslava region. In turn, no patients are in Liepāja, Babīte and Nīca districts.
After all these changes, the most infected with Covid-19 are currently registered in Riga – 123. The capital is followed by Kuldīga municipality and Daugavpils, where each has 27 infected.
Eight of the newly infected are in the age groups of 30 to 39 years and 40 to 49 years. Five patients are between 50 and 59 years old. In turn, three patients are in the age groups from 20 to 29 years and from 60 to 69 years. Two children under the age of nine and two people over the age of 70 are also affected.
It has already been reported that 31 cases of Covid-19 were registered in Latvia last day, most of them or 17 of them are related to the company in Kuldiga, according to the latest data of the SPKC.
In the last seven days, 127 new infections have been registered in Latvia, which is the largest number in one week since the end of March and the beginning of April, when 186 new cases of infection were registered from March 30 to April 5.
There are currently a total of 307 active cases of Covid-19, the highest number since May 6, when there were 419 active cases in the country.
Last day, 2431 Covid-19 tests were performed, while a total of 306,652 examinations were performed in Latvia, of which 0.53% of cases were positive. Thus, infection with Covid-19 has so far been laboratory confirmed in 1,625 individuals, of whom 1,282 have recovered and 36 have died.
Two patients with Covid-19 were hospitalized during the last 24 hours. In total, nine patients are treated in hospitals, all of whom have a moderate course of the disease. To date, 222 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both recovered and dead.
