Mosquitoes Called Can Not Spread COVID-19

New York, Jurnas.com – Mosquito cannot transmit the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the deadly COVID-19 disease, to humans, according to the first special research on this issue.

The study, published in the journal Scientific Reports, found that viruses cannot replicate in three common types of mosquitoes and therefore cannot be transmitted to humans even if they eat infected humans.

“We have shown that even in extreme conditions, the SARS-CoV-2 virus cannot be replicated in this mosquito and therefore cannot be transmitted to people even in unforeseen events that mosquitoes feed on the viremic host,” the study authors.

This study supports the statement made by the World Health Organization (WHO) that mosquitoes cannot transmit disease to humans.

“While the WHO has definitively stated that mosquitoes cannot transmit viruses, our study is the first to provide conclusive data that supports the theory,” said Stephen Higgs, Stephen Higgs of Kansas State University.

One theory for the global pandemic outbreak is that it jumped from an infected bat into a human on the wet market in Wuhan, China.

There have also been reports of tigers, cats and dogs contracting the virus, but these cases are minimal given the extent of the spread of the virus among humans.
