Seoul – The Moroccan Embassy in the Republic of Korea celebrated, in an innovative and creative way, the 21st anniversary of the Accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to the Throne of his glorious ancestors.
Due to the restrictions due to the health crisis linked to Covid-19, the Embassy initiated celebrations in “2.0” through a large targeted “e-mailing” campaign including the full text of the Royal Speech, a message from the Moroccan Ambassador in Seoul illustrated by photos as well as a broadcast of a video capsule on South Korean social networks which was widely viewed by Korean officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Seoul, actors from the political, economic, academic, media world and several friends of Morocco.
During these virtual festivities, the Moroccan Embassy in Seoul has drawn up a compilation of data retracing the important advances made under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King may God assist him on the political, economic and social levels, for the development of human capital and the promotion of sustainable growth in the Kingdom, while giving it a major role on the regional and international scene.
In these exceptional circumstances linked to the pandemic, the Ambassador of Morocco, Mr. Chafik Rachadi took this opportunity to send a message in which he expressed the success of the Kingdom in the fight against the pandemic, citing the various initiatives and actions taken to mitigate the negative effects generated by this crisis, not only in health, but also in the economic and social fields.
In addition, the diplomat recalled the Kingdom’s constant commitment to South-South cooperation manifested recently in the context of the pandemic by a Royal initiative of very high humanitarian scope towards several African countries, thus placing it as a regional model.
Mr. Rachadi also underlined that the celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Enthronement of His Majesty the King, may God assist him, reflects the perfect symbiosis and communion between the Sovereign and the Moroccan people, reviewing the important achievements accomplished by the Kingdom under the reign of the Sovereign.
Regarding bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea, Mr. Rachadi highlighted the exceptional relations between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations and which have experienced significant development over the years. He further recalled that within the framework of multilateral cooperation, the two countries have actively contributed to ensure effective governance and promote international solidarity in the health sector, in particular to provide an appropriate response to Covid-19.
The participants in this “virtual reception”, at the same time, expressed their warm congratulations and wishes of happiness and health to His Majesty the King as well as their wishes for more progress and prosperity to the friendly Moroccan people.
