We left for the project of the City of Trades and Skills of the Oriental region. The construction work should start this Monday, June 29, 2020, for a completion period of 12 months, announces the Office of Professional Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT) in a press release. The realization of the project will require a global investment of 360 million DH, including a contribution from the Oriental Region of 90 million, with a budget of 245 million dedicated to Studies and Construction Works.
This project is the 2nd in the Cities and Trades of Skills (CMC) program, after that of the Souss-Massa region, which was officially launched by the Sovereign on February 6, 2020 in Agadir.
Located in Nador on a 12 hectare site, the CMC de l’Oriental was designed to accommodate 2,920 trainees per year, offering them the possibility of training in 8 sectors, with a choice of 74 courses, 58% of which correspond to new specialties.
The infrastructure of the City consists of educational and living spaces. The educational spaces include Common Structures, used by trainees of different specialties (Language and Soft Skills Center, Career Center, Coworking Space, FabLab, Digital Factory, Incubator, Media Library, etc.) as well as 8 sectoral poles, dedicated to learning trades.
