TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi announced that the company has sold Redmi Note series phones past the 140 million mark since its launch in 2014.

According to Xiaomi Group Vice President Lu Weibing, this figure is a market confirmation of the innovations and breakthroughs that the mobile phone has brought.

Weibing explained this reason Redmi Note achieved such high sales due to Xiaomi’s commitment to bringing technology to the masses. “You present a product of superior quality,” he said in a written statement, Monday, November 23, 2020.

According to the Xiaomi report, the Redmi Note series has achieved record sales in various countries over the past seven years and is gaining recognition among its users.

The Redmi Note 7 series sold more than 10 million units in 4 months, while the Redmi Note 8 series sold more than 10 million units in three months and sales for the global market of this series exceeded 40 million units.

Weibing also stated that there are several features of the Redmi Note series. “These include faster performance, higher quality, a more immersive experience than other products in the same price range, and the smartphone series we always look forward to,” said Weibing.

Most of the models in this series are in Indonesia Redmi Note 9. This smartphone from the land of the bamboo curtain is sold starting at Rp 2,299 and is available in five color variants, namely polar white, midnight gray, sunset red, forest green and onyx black.
