More than 100 medicines disappear from pharmacies, SINTROM is no longer available. Patients can no longer find treatment

Manufacturers have so far had time to seek marketing authorization from the Medicines Agency.

According to the new methodology for calculating drug prices, from July, manufacturers will have to reduce the price of original treatments by 35%. 123 drugs will disappear from the market because of this, and for 55 there will be no alternative, according to a study by the Association of International Drug Manufacturers.

The treatments are intended for cancer patients, cardiac patients, but also for those with neurological problems. For about two weeks, in Romanian pharmacies, SINTROM is no longer found.

Syndrome is a medicine that contains the active substance acenocoumarol.

Acenocoumarol belongs to a group of drugs called anticoagulants, which decrease the blood’s ability to clot, thus helping to prevent blood clots from forming in the blood vessels.

The syndrome is used to prevent or treat blood clotting.
